“Using tools such as periodic pro-active zoning code reviews to avoid unlawful incidents are far more preferable than having to react to such situations with law enforcement,” according to City Manager John Flint.“There aren’t those uses in Weston, there won’t be those uses in Weston, and we were never planning to allow those uses in Weston,” Mayor Hersh told the Sun-Sentinel. “This is something that we thought would protect the city.” The Sun-Sentinel reported that over the past 10 years, 20 people have been killed by gunfire in or near a nightclub in Southern Florida. Since 2002, five people have been killed in nightclub stabbings.

So, because some 25 people have died in or around nightclubs in the general Florida area (doesn't say any have been killed in their town) in the last 10 years, they decide to close businesses (best time ever, huh?) which we must assume were profitable (or they would have closed on their own).
And they close skating rinks (you know, where kids go to fall on their asses) in case the "hoodlums" start going there.
The end of the world won't come from space, the climate, nuclear holocaust, or vengeful gods. It's coming. From human stupidity.
Let the legal battles begin....
This being the state wherein the Dem HQ proudly flies the ObamaAmerican flag. One nation under Obama or the next POTUS, where the ONLY answer to EVERY problem is to criminalize, tax or otherwise penalize MORE law abiding citizens.....
