True or False: Science flies you to the moon, religion flies you into buildings.
commented:
On the bus sign, the "religion" that is being referred to is Islam and the "buildings" are the Twin Towers during 9/11. Its weird that the reference to religion is juxtaposed against science as if the two cannot coexist. Do all scientists have to give up their religion? Whoever answered "True" to this question is showing their anti Islamic sentiments. The question should have simply read, Are you anti Islam? Yes or No.

Believing in science takes as much faith if not more than believing in a God.

Gravity Probe B carrying four gyroscopes has confirmed two key elements of Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity about 95 years after he postulated it and 56 years after he died. You are capable of testing a theory, really? 1 year ago on March 3, 2012

What a false dichotomy. There are good people and there are evil people, science and religion have little to do with it.
Lift = k * S * V^2 * C. That's the science the Wright brothers used to invent the plane that flew the terrorists. Terrorists by definition are devoid of religion. And the atomic bomb blew people to the moon. Great use of science? 1 year ago on March 3, 2012

Should both the GOP and Democratic Party be required to hold primary elections?
commented:
Win implies a competition against an opponent. Pres Obama just has to accept the nomination.

Yes, I should have been more explicit. I mean to have primary elections for all election cycles. I would like to see Pres Obama debate members of the Democratic Party as well. 1 year ago on February 2, 2012

commented:
Maybe I am not being clear, the message is not against scientific inquiry nor the benefits of science on humanity. Its that you can't know everything, nor do most people attempt to learn even a little bit about science, but rely by faith that what others, not themselves, have "proven" (or not disprove).
People learn 1+1=2 or an atom is made up of a clump of stuff called a nucleus with little stuff orbiting around it, but never proved it themselves. Scientist themselves do not fully understand what an atom really comprises and hence the creation of CERN and other centers for scientific research. String theory proposes a totally new paradigm in physics. People just nod their heads and rely on the words of others to say "I believe!". A few apostles and prophets wrote down in a book stories about a God. People read the texts and scriptures and said, "ehhhh, sure, why not? Makes sense to me." Non belief in a God or religion is replaced with belief in science and vice versa, they are the opposites sides of the same coin. 1 year ago on January 21, 2012

An equation as seemly simple as 1+1=2 is very difficult to prove. It relies on many assumptions. Most people (not all) accept the notion that 1+1=2 on blind faith, just as many religious people believe in a God.

Your assumption is not correct. I actually had in mind quantum mechanics and astronomy which should have been self evident from the choices.
