Hi JDL.
Just out of curiosity, what version of IE? Anyways, Wepolls doesn't work well in Internet Explorer, and you're probably missing out on some of the features of the site. We suggest using Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. These are much better browsers than Internet Explorer. Not only will you get more out of Wepolls, but probably the rest of the internet. We've not heard of this happening. I can tell you thought that until you "submit" the polls that we have no way of knowing about it. What you are interacting with is a form. It doesn't hit the database until it's saved. Likely there's something interfering with the script on the page. Perhaps an adblocker. What web browser do you use? 5 months ago on January 3

The profiles really aren't complete so there are some glitches. There was also a loss of data last year that affected them. We're aware that the error persists, even with new members, but it's lower on the list of priorities. Of course every user is our customer. We work to improve the service all the time, including the embed service. I'll also add that the advertisements come no where close to paying for the site. People don't usually click on ads, they're poorly placed, and a lot of people use ad-blockers. Ads aren't part of our business model. 8 months ago on October 5, 2012

Good question. The polls without usernames are made by people who are not registered, which is the vast majority of our users. You can make a poll "anonymously" by logging out and then creating it. If you're not getting good traffic on your polls, there's a few steps you can take. The most important are the tags. Is your poll tagged? Is it tagged in a popular category? Did you share your poll out to the world? The polls with the most votes have users referred to it from outside sites. People share their polls on their blogs, forums, Facebook, Twitter, and even in comments on articles. We can tell because we are able to analyzable the referral traffic and the landing page. @Conway193 Traffic fell off due to a lack of Ron Paul in a presidential race, unfortunately. The poll creator emailed us. They didn't realize that people could add options to their poll, so they asked us to "fix" it for him. They had planned on using the poll on their website. We usually oblige such requests, especially when made within the first few minutes, as this one was. Nothing nefarious here. They just want to measure these three variables.
